HVAC Service Technician

Alvarez Plumbing & Air Conditioning is hiring experienced HVAC Service Technicians for our Field Operations team. You will install, diagnose, repair and maintain residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and boiler systems. The work is local and year-round, and you are dispatched from home in a company vehicle.

We are a third-generation, family-owned plumbing and HVAC company serving Tampa Bay. We are not private-equity owned. We run a full-time training manager and a dedicated training facility, and we have real career ladders across HVAC Service, Plumbing Service and Plumbing Construction. What you will do

• Install, diagnose and maintain HVAC and boiler systems in residential and light commercial settings
• Inspect and test systems to verify compliance and locate malfunctions
• Talk with customers about what is wrong and what their options are
• Follow all safety standards and keep a clean, organized work area
• Record work performed and materials used; complete work orders accurately in ServiceTitan
• Perform leak detection, system balancing and equipment calibration
• Install and adjust thermostats, humidistats, timers and related components
• Assemble, mount and connect HVAC components to blueprint
• Fabricate and install ductwork, pipe and chassis parts as needed

What you need

• Minimum 5 years of HVAC service and repair experience
• High school diploma or GED
• EPA certification
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across a range of systems
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications
• Professional, customer-focused communication
• Comfortable with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment and mobile apps
• Able to lift 50 lbs, crouch, crawl, climb and work in varying conditions

• $25–$35 per hour based on experience, plus commission and incentives

Schedule

• Full time, Monday to Friday
