HVAC Installer

Alvarez Plumbing & Air Conditioning is hiring an HVAC Installer. You will install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems across residential and commercial work in the Tampa Bay area.

Who we are

Third-generation, family-owned, and not private-equity owned. We run a full-time training manager and a dedicated training facility, with career ladders across HVAC Service, Plumbing Service and Plumbing Construction. Installers here move up.

What you will do

• Install, maintain and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning and heat pump systems
• Work with the design team so installations match specification
• Handle plumbing tasks as needed for system installations
• Meet safety standards and regulations on every installation and repair
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Communicate clearly with customers about their system

What you need

• Proven experience as an HVAC Installer or in a similar HVAC/R role
• Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to understand complex systems
• Able to plumb and build components as required for installations
• Familiarity with air conditioning systems
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Communicates well and works well on a crew

Pay and benefits

• $25–$40 per hour including bonus pay, based on experience
• Competitive hourly pay plus commission
• Paid holidays after 90 days
• 40 hours PTO after one year

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, weekends as needed
• Year-round work
